10 Reasons Why Steni is The Right Product For Your Next Commercial or Multi-Family Project
#10 - Extreme Durability
The reality is that your exterior cladding product is the first line of defense from the elements.
While there are a lot of great products on the market today, very few stand up to all the elements like Steni.
Being a cured polymer composite panel with a core of crushed natural stone, it is impact and moisture resistant, and will not weather in even the harshest of climates.
It’s moisture resistance even makes it a great option for below grade use at it will not absorb any minerals from below the earths surface and will work to protect the foundation of your building.
When our clients consider the product they will be using, some of the main concerns they have are hail, wind (particularly in seaside areas), and sun fading.
Steni has proven to stand up against all three of these major elements as well as many others, and comes with a 65+ year life expectancy.
As well as exterior use, some clients of ours have used the product for high traffic interior areas that can be subject to abuse. Elevators, and hallways can be susceptible to damage particularly in buildings where tenants are moving in and out frequently, and Steni can help to solve that problem.

When it comes to the warranty for your exterior cladding, you want to make sure that your clients are covered, and so do we!
One of the main features for our clients over the past couple of years has been the 40-year functional warranty.
We've been asked a lot about colour fade over the years, and the nice thing about our warranty is that it also comes with a 15-year colour warranty from PPG Paints - our paint supplier.
It should be noted that while the colour is covered up to 15 years, we have experienced no colour issues for the duration of our functional life expectancy on the panels due to the curing process that they go through on our production line once the paint has been applied.
#8 - Low Maintenance
When we say low maintenance, we mean it.
The building to the left (or above if you're on your mobile device) was built seaside in Oslo Norway.
The building engineer estimated a 450,000 Euro cost budget for repainting every 5-7 years, and that cost was eliminated entirely with the use of Steni.
It is a very rare case when a panel needs to be replaced, and as you already know that will be covered by the warranty should it be necessary.
When it come to maintaining the panels on your building, a quick check of the fastening system every 1-2 years, and a pressure wash from time to time to keep the colours vibrant is all this product needs.

Both our Steni Vision and Steni Colour product lines come in three different finishes which also adds to the customizability.

Our Steni Vision line comes with over 50 stock patterns, and will accomodate anything you can imagine in your design. Among the stock patterns are a number of 'wood grain' patterns, as well as some more unique options.
Steni Colour product line comes in 300+ stock colours, and if you just can't seem to find the exact colour in our stock options, we can customize your colour using the RGB colour system.
Steni Nature is a very rugged and unique option. It comes in 11 stock colours, and 3 different finishes - Fine, Medium, and Coarse.
Any way you slice it, you're sure to be able to find the exact look you're going for with one of, or a combination of all three product lines.
#5 - Custom Cut Panels
Mix & matching our product lines is not the only way to achieve your dream design!
While our panels come in a standard 4' x 8' or 4' x 11' sizing, they can be factory cut to match your designs at any angle, and to any size you'd like.
Even better, when there is custom cutting involved, our warehouse makes sure to set your installer up for success by numbering the cut panels to coordinate where they should be placed on site.
#4 - Easy Installation
The great news is that Steni goes on just as easy as any other cladding product your installer has worked with in the past.
Due to it's 0.0025 expansion and contraction rate, it can be installed at any temperature without the need for hoarding. This significantly reduces the cost of installation and will keep your winter project on time.
Additionally, because it is so durable, there is very minimal breakage when handling the product on site which also helps to further reduce your client's costs.
There are three installation methods:
1 - Standard North American or European Extrusions
2 - Face Fastened Using Colour Matched Stainless Steel Screws
3 - Structural Silicone
If need be, Steni can easily be site cut by your installer using a standard diamond saw blade.
#3 - Corner & U-Elements
All Steni product lines come with optional L and U shaped elements to help with all of your unique building designs.
All elements are custom manufactured using an epoxy resin, and can be made to fit any angles you might encounter.
The columns you can see in this image were custom built for easy installation on this retail entryway. As you can see, these are all one piece "caps", that are easily installed over any framing that has been built to support the design of your building.
Using these elements instead of extrusions to finish off the corners significantly reduces the risk of exposure to the elements, and the headache of trying to work within the guidelines of 90 degree angles.
#2 - Price, Price, Price
When looking at the more affordable cladding options on the market, it is important to keep in mind an apples to apples comparison.
Steni panels are comparable to top of the line metal cladding products, and provide all the same benefits at a price point that is significantly lower than the rest.
Each product line comes with a narrow range of prices, with the Nature line being the least expensive and the Vision line ranging upward dependant on your custom design.

Last, and without question most importantly, comes safety.
While all of those other benefits we listed are great, there is no debate to be had that the product you will be using for your school, strip mall, or multi-family complex MUST be safe.
We have documentation to show the certifications of the Steni product, and you can be sure that if the school boards across Canada and Europe have given it the "go ahead", it has been put through the ringer when it comes to safety.
At the end of the day, we couldn't put our heads on the pillow (and neither could you) if the product being recommended put anyone at risk or in danger.
